Questionnaire

I created a questionnaire to try to find out what people are actually intrested in when it comes to magazines. I wanted to find out exactly what to include on my front cover, contents page and double page spread if i was to target an audience of my age. Therefore i the made 50 copies of my questionnaire and handed it to 50 students that are around my age of 17/18. These are the questions i asked..

1)Do you read the content of the magazine or do you just flick through and look at the pictures?
2)Do you think more males or more females would read an INDI magazine?
3)Do you prefer reading interveiws or prefer to just read what people think about celebrities?
4)Do you ever enter or take notice to competitions in magazines?
5)Do you prefer more reading or more pictures?

These are the results...
1) 30 people said the take more interest in reading the content and 20 said they just flick through and look at the pictures.
2) 40 people said they would have thought that males would be more likely to read an INDI style magazine and only 10 people said they thought females would.
3)35 people said they prefer to read the interviews in a magazine than infomation about celebrities and 15 people said they would rather read the celebritie infomation.
4)40 people said they do often take part in competions in magazines and most said if it's easy to apply such as a text or on the internet. 10 people said that no they never enter the competitons.
5)45 people said they would rather see more pictures in a magazine than writing and only 5 people said they would rather have more to read.

I will now use the infomation to help me decided what to include on my magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread.
